  • Eric Twardzik

Eric Twardzik is a junior pursuing his BFA in nonfiction writing. He also enjoys writing fiction, and tries his best not to mix the two. He is the upcoming Editor-in-Chief of Gauge. His plans for the magazine include 100% more glossy fashion ads, extensive muckracking, and the possible furnishing of the Spanish-American War, provided that the photo department furnishes the pictures. If his tenure at Gauge results in an Orson Welles biopic, he’ll be satisfied with his work.
  • Matt Haviland

Matt Haviland is a senior Writing, Literature, and Publishing major with a minor in journalism. He's from New Jersey and very much hopes to go back someday, but fears that New Jersey left with him. The rest is hidden within the codes.
  • Alex Charest

Alex Charest is a sophomore WLP major, Gauge illustrator, mad scientist, all-around nerd, and, first and foremost, a writer committed to the weird and wonderful ways of sci-fi/fantasy. She hails from the great and tragically misunderstood state of Texas. Though glad to have escaped the South’s hellish, ever-burning sun, she has nonetheless found herself becoming steadily less enchanted with this thing called "snow." Someday she hopes to be a great novelist and own at least five corgis.
  • Angelika Romero
    Assistant Poetry Editor

Angelika is a freshman Journalism major and Performance Studies/Publishing minor from Nicaragua (Note: Not in Africa). Named after a rugrat, her favorite books include Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and On the road by Jack Kerouac. Her top two favorite poets are Allen Ginsberg and Walt Whitman. Her favorite band is called Placebo. In her spare time, she enjoys attending rock festivals and concerts. She also likes writing free-verse poetry, watching psychologically thrilling movies, and taking long naps. Fun fact: She was born on April fool’s day. Angelika aspires to conquer the world some day.
  • Victoria Elliott

Victoria Elliott is a sophomore WLP from Detroit. She likes fonts and facial hair.
  • Sarah Selevitch

Nothing if not practical, Sara is a sophomore WLP major and Philosophy minor. Her interests include laughing, looking at pictures of cats online, and jamming out to Rihanna songs on repeat to the joy of her roommates. Her life goal is to become tumblr famous.
  • Kathryn Barnes

Kathryn Barnes is an easily crackable enigma. Take every Vermont stereotype and roll them into one 20-year-old... minus the Carhartts and constant smell of manure. She has the reputation of being too nice, eating too much granola, and wearing her slippers too often. The States make her antsy and she likes mailing foreign postcards to her grandma so chances are she won’t be graduating college anytime soon. For three months of her life she lived in a tent community on a beach in the British Virgin Islands, until she realized drinking Red Stripe at 10am and losing touch with reality was a downward spiral into permanent insanity. Her current stint in Boston consists of breaking the code for a worthwhile existence somewhere in between.
  • Sierra Lister

Sierra Sparkle Lister is a freshman Writing, Literature, and Publishing major and a Women’s and Gender Studies minor. She's on the nonfiction editorial staff of Gauge. Sierra spends most of her time thinking about words and people, and wandering around Boston late at night.

  • Jake Ladue

    Jake Ladue volunteers as tribute!
  • Lucy Sandler

Lucy is a freshman marketing major from Marin County, California, aspiring to reapply to VMA and go into cinematography. She enjoys listening to Beach House while taking long walks on the beach, red wine, and a good long cuddle with a cat. Photography is the one true love of her life, alongside Ryan Gosling and macaroni and cheese.
  • Emily Small

Emily Small, an Animation major from the forests of New Hampshire, has been a part of the Gauge design team for three years. As a lover of all illustration, live music, 16mm film, and black tea, she has found her place in Boston quite easily. Peruse her flickr account for more artwork and take a gander at her tumblr, of oneironauts, to admire her growing collection of doodles, tunes, cats, and creepy people.
  • Caroline Fothergill

This is Caroline’s second semester snapping photos for Gauge. She is a Junior Communication Studies major (who also doesn’t know what that really means.) As of this moment her fantasy is to move to New Orleans to help people, learn more, make art, feel the sun, hear the jazz, and be EZ. She has this one tooth that is so sweet, takes her coffee especially black, is a slow reader, and enjoys observational studies (AKA eavesdropping on strangers.)
  • Jamie Rogers

Jamie Rogers is a sophomore film production major with an affinity for graphic design and photography. She thoroughly enjoys Radiohead, Michel Gondry, breakfast cereals and art museums. She spends way too much time video editing and wishing she was hugging her puppy. This is her third semester on Gauge design team, and she feels great to be a part of it once again.
  • Veronica del Rosario

Veronica del Rosario is a native New Yorker with a flavor for culture and a fluency in sarcasm. She has two Plecostomus catfish, is allergic to elephants, and fears being chased and grabbed by the ankles. She loves passed hors d'oeuvres, Pilates, Sartre's take on Existentialism, mangoes, and Nigerians. Her heroes include Gustav Klimt, Nelson Mandela, Jose Rizal, Salvador Dali, and Salvatore Ferragamo. She likes calendars, and must sit with her legs crossed Indian-style (when appropriate) and, whenever possible, will take off her shoes. In her free time, she plays Mahjong and Sudoku, makes lists, and plans. She often attends raves despite a significant phobia of sweat, and has recently learned to use a power drill. Freshly squeezed orange juice is her cup of chai tea, as is discussing Freud's theories on sexuality. When not writing, Veronica works in marketing for private banking software.
